Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park), or often called GWK, is a cultural tourism park in the southern part of the island of Bali. This tourist park is located in Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, approximately 40 kilometers south of Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali. Here stands a magnificent landmark or mascot of Bali, namely the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue which depicts the figure of Lord Vishnu riding his mount, Garuda, as high as 121 meters. The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park area is located at an altitude of 146 meters above ground level or 263 meters above sea level. In that area there is also a Garuda Statue which is right behind Plaza Wisnu is Plaza Garuda where a statue of Garuda’s head as high as 18 meters is placed.
