This area is a conservation forest for the brown long-tailed macaque. This object is located in the village of Padang Tegal which is only 10 minutes from the center of Ubud. This forest area is inhabited by at least 340 monkeys that can roam freely in the forest which covers an area of approximately 27 hectares.
