Bali G20

Sparkling Again, Bali Being Home of G20 November 2022

Bali will once again amaze the world this year as it welcomes delegates for the G20 meetings and, ultimately, the G20 leaders for the 17th Bali Summit.

The 2022 G20 Bali summit is the upcoming seventeenth meeting of Group of Twenty (G20), a summit scheduled to take place in Bali in November 2022. The Summit will be the pinnacle of the G20 process and intense work carried out within the Ministerial Meetings, Working Groups, and Engagement Groups throughout the year.

This event will be attended by 19 countries and one economic region, namely the European Union. These 19 countries consist of South Africa, United States of America, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Russia, France, China, and Turkey. With the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, at the G20 Summit, Indonesia invites the whole world to work together to recover from the pandemic and build the world in a sustainable manner.

Bali has always been the center of Indonesia’s tourism industry since it is situated directly between the crowded Java island and the alluring beauty of Lombok. Bali is known as the “Island of Gods” because of its stunning natural surroundings and dynamic culture, which make it resemble the paradise on earth where gods choose to live. Adding a special and distinctive tone to Indonesia’s national color.

With the G20 Summit taking place in Bali, the Indonesian government is also trying to invite foreign tourists to return to this truly charming island and to have a Bali private tour. Since the fourth quarter of 2021, the government has relaxed travel restrictions to Bali as a step to revitalize the country’s economy. To support this step, the government will ensure to continue to make efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by maintaining Indonesia’s status as one of the countries with the highest vaccination rates, one of the highest CHSE certifications, and being a country that consistently provides health protocols for all people. With the very special occasion, local government really hopes that Bali activities can attract more international tourists and to take a look at Bali private tour.

About G20

The G20 itself is a strategic multilateral forum that connects the biggest industrialized and developing economies in the world. The G20 holds a strategic role in securing future global economic growth and prosperity. The G20 members together represent more than 80 percent of world GDP, 75 percent of international trade and 60 percent of the world population.

The G20 was first held in 1999 as a gathering of the finance ministers and governors of the central banks, but it has now developed into an annual summit attended by the heads of state and government. In addition to that, the Sherpa meetings (in charge of carrying out negotiations and building consensus among Leaders), working groups, and special events are also organized throughout the year.

The G20 exercise is fully participated in by the guest nations that are invited by the Presidency each year. Additionally, a number of regional and international organizations take part, giving the event a wider representation.
